Today (12th March) the Town Mayot and the Reeve both had their Lateral Flow Covid Test to publicise the fact that everyone should be using this free facility based at the Honeypot Centre. The Pink Orange

The Pink Orange is a unique service for Suffolk. Quite simply they pack and deliver free ingrediant kits over the school holidays to households that would normally receive free school meals in term time.

Each of the ingrediant kits provides you with all the items needed to prepare a number of household meals from scratch over school breaks.

The service is provided by regional charity Access community Trust.

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY

Seen here is Joanna Spicer, MBE DL. laying a Wreath during a short ceremony at Bungay War Memorial.

Well done to Andrew Atterwill, who's image was featured in Eyewitness 24 in Wednesday's (11/11) copy of the EDP.

Remembrance Sunday 8th November 2020.

In Bungay this is a CLOSED event and members of the public are being asked not to attend.

Please be aware that Government National Restrictions clearly state that Members of the Public should remain at home and observe the National event being held at the Cenotaph in London, either on their television or online. This year it will be a closed event, and there will be no march past the Cenotaph. People are urged to observe a 2 minutes silence at home, or on their doorstep at 11am on Sunday morning.

Who can attend a Remembrance Sunday Event?

SKATEPARK CLOSURE

BUNGAY SKATEPARK WILL BE CLOSED DURING THE CURRENT PERIOD OF NATIONAL RESTRICTIONS. During this time we intend to undertake some essential repairs and maintenance to signage, fencing, and to address safety issues at both entrance and exit points, to include introducing railings and a handrail to the access ramp.

CLOSED TO MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC

Due to the decision by government to close all non-essential premises until December 2nd, Bungay Town Council has once again taken the reluctant decision to close it's offices to members of the public. The office staff continue to work their normal hours, and can be contacted between the hours of 08.30am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.
